About Me
I was born in rainy Belgium to Cuban-native parents.
As a result of my enriching upbringing but bleak surroundings, I have developed a constant urge to be surrounded by pleasing objects and immerse myself in literature and art in the search for the beauty of everyday life.
During my time at Kunsthumaniora Brussels, I started to develop diverse skills related to fashion. Among these are the creation of conceptual and commercial pieces, the production of technical drawings in Adobe Illustrator, the creation of moodboards using Adobe InDesign, as well as discovering my passion for pattern making.
Currently, I'm continuing my studies at HoGent as a Fashion Technology student. My objective is to improve my technical drawing proficiency, continue to develop my abilities to design and create intricate patterns, and to further train in the use of the CAD and 3D fashion design and development software.
my career so far
As a young creative student, I have had the pleasure of working with talented individuals who advocate for sustainable practices.
In 2019 my work entailed designing and manufacturing deconstructed costumes for the play
Edward Twee by fABULEUS, a theater company located in Leuven.
Afterwards in 2022, I assisted in the production of a collection of upcycled one of a kind embroidered shirts for the brand Paule Josephe.
Finally, in the first semester of my sophomore year in college, I undertook an apprenticeship at Atelier Liesbeth Verhelst, a local designer of leather goods known for crafting durable and high quality products.
